Barbara’s world

The Thar desert that runs long India’s westernmost province and borders Pakistan,  has thousands of miles of beautiful sand, sculptured from the wind.  It is difficult for the villages to scratch out a living with little water (women can spend up to 6 hours a day fetching water) and inconsistent crops.  But the people are welcoming and generous and value their traditions that dictate family and daily life.
